You're a Heartbreaker

So I always see these cool comparisons of artist's work through the years, or growth charts or whathaveyou. And I always think it's pretty cool to see how they evolved and their styles.

So I did one myself. I drew the picture on the left two and a half years ago or so, probably a little less than that. And man was I proud of it XD So I thought it'd make a suitable comparison if I redrew the character now, with some minor changes to outfit and whatnot. (couldn't decide if I should keep the lace collar or not, and would've done away with the cape, too, but I didn't want to stray too far from the original design). Just a concept for a Queen of Hearts, as it were. And I'm starting to like this character enough to maybe use her again, though the dress will need a revamp. I like her hair, though <3 And gloves are ALWAYS in style 8D And the crown, too, haha. I just need to think of a suitable place for her...perhaps golfing. With flamingos. For a start, anyway...

(Also, the newer one's background is so carelessly done, I've been spoiled by photoshop. "Oh, I'll just scribble away in the background and fix it on the computer 8D" And then I realized the point of this was to compare pencil sketches a bit too late and motivation to go back and erase and redraw quicky went to zero. Er. Lookit the character. I think I've grown somewhat, maybe. Perhaps. > 3>;;; )
